What is TSScan client?
TSScan allows you to use scanners attached to your local workstation on the terminal server as you would use them locally. The seamless scanner-driver mapping enables you to scan directly from your scanners, connected to any remote desktop server and on any network.

How Does TSScan Work? TSScan creates virtual scanners on your remote desktop server which it then maps to your local scanners. This way you basically get a one to one scanner mapping on your terminal server.

Prepare for scanning
- Enable remote scan from the device. Enable “Network TWAIN” from a networked computer in order to use the remote scan feature.
- Select the remote scan mode. There are 3 remote scan modes: simple scan mode, manual scan mode, and secure scan mode.
- Install the scanner driver and ActKey.
Can I scan from Remote Desktop?
RDP scanning is not directly supported by the Remote Desktop Protocol. Clients running under RDP can access a subset of USB devices such as external drives and printers, but remote scanners cannot be used without additional support.
Can you scan to a remote computer?
Microsoft’s Remote Desktop Protocol does not directly support remote desktop scanning. While you can easily use other peripherals such as printers or external storage devices in a remote session, RDP scanning cannot be accomplished without a third-party USB Redirector.
How do I activate TSPrint?
Configuring TSPrint
- Launch the TSPrint Options by navigating to Start > Terminal Works > TSPrint > Options.
- Under Printer Settings, Select Default for the Print Engine.
- Select the name of the default printer.
- Check the box next to Map Settings.
- Click Save.
Can you print from a remote desktop?
You can easily print files on your remote computer using your local printer. To print files, Select the file on your remote computer that you want to print. Open the document and initiate print operation by selecting Print command from the file menu (or Ctrl+P in Windows and ⌘+P in Mac).

- Download and install TSPrint Client on your Chromebook or Android phone/tablet.
- Make sure the TSPrint Client application is running in the background.
- Set up folder redirection.
- Connect to the server and start printing.
