What is the difference between TAF and MOS?

To sum it up, MOS is a computer derived forecast off of model and other data while TAFs are created by a human. That human is using much of the same data the MOS is to create the TAF, but is interjecting his/her knowledge and experience into the product to hopefully derive a better forecast.

What is GFS MOS?

GFS MOS is a suite of text-bulletin and graphical products developed and supported by MDL. Values are based on outputs of the Global Forecast System (GFS) numerical model, and then calibrated using the MOS technique, which was developed at MDL.

How do you read a NAM MOS?
