What is a clip lock roof?
Klip-lok roof sheets are specifically designed for flat roofs, between 0 – 1 degrees in incline. Unlike a traditional metal roof sheet, Klip-lok sheets are fixed with clips from below, instead of screws from above. Klip-lok roofs were commonly used on homes and commercial buildings around 40 years ago.
How Far Can AC purlin span?
A four-inch purlin can span 12 feet. A six-inch purlin can span 18 feet. An eight-inch purlin can span 25 feet. A ten-inch purlin can span 30 feet.
Can you join a purlin?
Purlins are usually overlapped by means of a housing joint. In otherwords measure about 12″ in from the end, cut the height (9″) of the timber in half for 12″ on both bits and join together.
Can you walk on Klip Lok?
Most Klip-lok suppliers will recommended a span of 2.2m between purlins, however this span can definitely be reduced depending on the size of your roof. The more purlins, the more support there is for walking on the roof sheets.
How far can 10 inch C purlin span?
30 feet

How far can a 6 C channel span?
As far as the cee purlin goes. 6″ will span up to 18′ bay spacing, 8″ up to 25′, 10″ from 25′-30′.
How do you attach purlins?
Lay the first purlin at the ridge of the roof down to the chalk line beginning at either corner. Fasten the purlin with 16d common nails into each vertical rafter. Insert two equally spaced nails into the rafter. The rafters are generally spaced every 16 inches on center.
What is the minimum pitch for TrIMdEk roofing?
