Is a 200SX a S13?
In North America, the S13 (180SX front, all three different bodystyles) was known as the 240SX. In North America, the Nissan 200SX nameplate was on hiatus but would return on a 2-door coupe version of the B14 Nissan Sunny/Sentra (1995–99)….S13.

Is the 180sx the same as a 240SX?
The 180sx was the Nissan built exclusively for the Japanese market, whereas the 240sx was the Nissan built for the US market. There was also the 200SX, of course, which was the European rebadged version and popular both in the UK and West Germany.

Is the S14 banned?
Registered. The S14s are perfectly legal; Nissan sold them in the US. Yes, S14 240SXs are perfectly legal, but not real Silvias, not totally the same car.
Why did Nissan discontinue the Silvia?
Any foreign car less than 25 years old is banned. At a certain point, it was becoming a safety hazard what with all the people getting caught up in it.
