There is such a stereotype of our “oh-arr” accent, even those of us who live here think of the accent as being very ‘country’. I’ve lived in Wiltshire all my life, I don’t have a particularly strong accent, but It sometimes comes out in the vowels – lengthened ‘i’ sounds especially.
